Blue Island is a daughter of the very famous stallion Medecin Man. She is Blue Boy and "Doublebreed" Gold Melody Boy, which speaks for her golden pedigree!

She arrived at our farm when she was seven months old. We keep looking for mares with very concentrated Blue Boy-Gold Melody Boy blood. We know that no great good breeding farm can do without these exceptional broodmares. They no longer have anything to proove; we know that they pass on their fantastic qualities to their foals and produce many champions.
We are lucky to have several at Modello Horse Farm, some of them like De Ja Blue, who are real stars...
Blue Island is a very charming mare. She will spend her life at our farm. We never sell our producers and Maryline Tournier from Maryhorse Miniature, our partner for this mare, shares with us the same breeding philosophy: only foals are for sale...
This mare is built like broodmares should be. She is correct, with an excellent model with a perfect curve of the back, and what we always look for, a very long neck. She moves well and will soon be able to produce, among others, driving horses. She was expecting her first foal for 2010 from Blue Hawk.
